Funded in october, 1995, the Gracie Barra BH is the number one school of Minas Gerais. The number of students grows everyday and their technical skills improve almost dialy. They are recognized as the very best of the State. In State and regional Competition, the School doesn't know the word "defeat" in overall titles. The team has been Wining the team general titles of the major state competitions since 1996.

On the major events (Nationals, Pan-Am’s and World's) a lot of students come on podium's top places the team has World, Pan Am’s, national, states, MMA, and submission champions. Also, Gracie Barra BH is one of the main forces to increase Gracie Barra's power on the competition scene. This results reflect the effectiveness of Gracie Barra's teaching method's inovated by master Carlos Gracie Junior, and taught by Vinicius “Draculino” to students all over the world.

Our goal is to make champions on the mats, rings but mainly in life. Good citizens who use the real philosophy of Jiu-Jitsu (Respect, self-control, kindness and honor) to build a better society, with peace and love.

For men and women who are not interested in competition, Jiu-Jitsu represents an excellent form of physical activity. The person improves aerobic and anaerobic capacity, a better body construction and appearance and less body fat. The psychological aspect is also important because it brings more sense of security to the person because he knows that can apply a large variety of self- defense techniques against any aggression.

For children is excellent for the development of the body coordination self control and concentration. It brings calmness to "Little devils" and braveness to the shy kids. Since 1998 the school is working at the biggest sports facility of Minas Gerais, the BH Rio Sport Center, located on the Ponteio Lar Shopping.

The mat has 100m² with classes everyday of the week. Besides the Jiu-Jitsu, the students have free access to parking lot, sauna, and lifting with a great discount.

We offer also self-defense programs, submission wrestling and MMA training.

Our team is affiliated to the M.G. State Jiu-Jitsu Federation, CBJJ (Brazilian Confederation of Jiu-Jitsu), International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation, and the Federation of Jiu-Submission Wrestling of the state of Minas Gerais.
